General

PrivacyFetch is an independent privacy intelligence platform that analyzes how companies handle your personal data. We provide privacy scores, risk signals, and detailed policy analysis for hundreds of companies — all transparent, structured, and up to date.

We automatically crawl and analyze company privacy policies, terms of service, and cookie policies using AI. Our system extracts data practices, identifies risks, and calculates a multi-dimensional privacy score based on factors like data collection, sharing, tracking, transparency, and user rights.

Yes, basic company profiles and privacy scores are free to view. We offer premium plans for deeper analysis, including full evidence breakdowns, terms analysis, international transfer details, and API access for developers.

We regularly re-crawl company policies to detect changes. Most companies are re-analyzed at least monthly, and we prioritize companies with recent policy updates or user reports.

Privacy Scores

Our privacy score is a weighted average of five dimensions:

Data Collection (20%) — What personal data is collected and how sensitive it is.
Data Sharing (25%) — Who data is shared with and whether it's sold.
Tracking (20%) — Tracking technologies, cookies, and privacy controls.
Transparency (20%) — Clarity and completeness of disclosures.
User Rights (15%) — Available rights, request channels, and deletion difficulty.

Each dimension starts at a base score and adjusts based on specific signals found in the policy.

Red flags are high-risk signals automatically detected in a company's privacy practices. Examples include selling personal data, sharing with data brokers, session recording, fingerprinting, excessive advertising trackers, sensitive data collection, and policy contradictions.

The AI Risk score measures how a company uses AI and machine learning with your data. It checks whether the company trains AI on personal data, user interactions, or public content, whether they share data for third-party AI, and whether opt-out mechanisms are available.

Yes. Companies can claim their profile and submit corrections. Our team reviews all claims and updates scores accordingly. We believe in accuracy and fairness — our goal is to reflect reality, not penalize companies unfairly.

For Companies

Visit your company's page on PrivacyFetch and click 'Claim this profile.' You'll need to verify ownership via a company email address. Once verified, you can update your profile information and respond to findings.

Claimed company profiles can request a re-analysis at any time. You can also manually set policy URLs if our crawler missed them. Our system will re-crawl and re-score your company within 24 hours.

Yes, we offer a REST API that provides access to privacy scores, risk signals, and policy analysis data. The API is available on our Pro and Enterprise plans. Check our API documentation for details.

Data & Privacy

We collect minimal data: your email (if you create an account), usage analytics, and any information you voluntarily provide. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties beyond what's needed to operate the service. Read our privacy policy for full details.

Our analysis combines AI-powered extraction with deterministic checks. Every signal is backed by evidence — direct quotes from the policy text. We also allow companies to dispute findings and regularly re-analyze policies to catch changes.

Yes. You can delete your account from your profile settings, or email us at privacy@privacyfetch.com. We will remove your personal data within 30 days.

Technical

We use a combination of web scraping (Firecrawl), AI-powered text extraction (OpenAI), deterministic tracker detection, and a multi-dimensional scoring engine. All evidence is stored and traceable back to the original policy text.

Yes. Our analysis specifically checks for GDPR and CCPA compliance signals, including user rights, data processing purposes, international transfers, and data subject request mechanisms.

Use our REST API to integrate privacy scores into your vendor assessment, due diligence, or compliance workflows. We support JSON responses, pagination, and filtering by domain, category, or score range.
