1. Acceptance of Terms
These terms govern your use of the PrivacyFetch website, API, Chrome extension, and related services. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you accept these terms in full.
2. Description of Service
PrivacyFetch provides a company privacy directory with privacy scores, data practice analysis, and a developer API. We analyze publicly available information about company data practices and present it in a structured, comparable format.
3. User Accounts
- Accounts are created via Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must not create accounts for fraudulent or abusive purposes.
4. API Usage
- Rate limits: API access is subject to rate limits. Exceeding these limits may result in temporary or permanent access restrictions.
- Fair use: The API is provided for legitimate integrations. Excessive or abusive usage may be throttled or blocked.
- Token security: You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure. Do not share keys publicly or embed them in client-side code.
- No scraping: Using the API or any automated means to scrape the entire directory is prohibited.
5. Company Claims
Companies listed in our directory may submit claims to verify their ownership and provide updated information. By submitting a claim, you represent that you have authority to act on behalf of the company. You are responsible for the accuracy of any information you provide.
6. Intellectual Property
- The PrivacyFetch platform, including its design, code, and scoring methodology, is owned by Tracefold.
- Company data presented in the directory is factual information derived from public sources and does not constitute proprietary content of PrivacyFetch.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of the platform without permission.
7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
- Privacy scores and analyses are informational only and do not constitute legal advice.
- We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, but we do not guarantee that all information is current or complete.
- PrivacyFetch is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tracefold shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
9. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
