Data Subject

The identified or identifiable person whose personal data is being processed.

A data subject is any living individual whose personal data is collected, held, or processed. Under the GDPR, data subjects have a comprehensive set of rights regarding their data.

Data Subject Rights (GDPR)

  • Right of access — obtain a copy of your data
  • Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your data
  • Right to restrict processing — limit how your data is used
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Right not to be subject to automated decision-making — including profiling
